Sarah Palin's Son Arrested for Allegedly Attacking Father

They told officers Track became enraged after the refusal to use the truck, and told the family he was going to come by the house anyways to "beat his ass", referring to Todd.

Track Palin, shown with Willow and Trig Palin in 2008, was arrested Saturday after authorities said he violently attacked his father, Todd.

Todd Palin then confronted his offspring at the door with a gun, yet the 28-year-old managed to break into the house and started beating up his dad, inflicting significant injuries to his head. Sarah Palin called police, saying her son was "freaking out and was on some type of medication", the affidavit stated.

After getting off the phone with his son, Todd Palin told police that he got his pistol out to "protect his family". On that occasion he was charged with assault in the fourth degree, interfering with a report of domestic violence and misconduct with weapons in the fourth degree.

Track Palin previously faced domestic violence charges in 2016. The Army veteran was arrested in January 2016 for threatening to shoot himself with an AR-15 after he punched and kicked his girlfriend in a drunken tirade, police reports alleged.

No attorney was listed for Track Palin, who was being held at a pretrial facility in Palmer, Alaska. Online court records indicate that the criminal mischief charge, a misdemeanor, stems from property damage in the amount of $250-$999.

Palin's arrest on charges of domestic violence isn't his first.

Palin's girlfriend told the officer that he "struck her on the left side of her head near her eye with a closed fist", sending her to the ground, according to court documents. "They ask that the privacy of the family be respected during this challenging situation as it would be requested by other people who care for a family member in distress".

Track Palin, son of Republican vice presidential candidate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Sept. 3, 2008. "Do you know what we're trying to do to secure America and to secure the freedoms that have been bequeathed us?'"
