PadMan trailer: Akshay Kumar feels the film is for those who are insane enough to change the world. Regardless to say, Akshay Kumar has done a marvelous job yet again. The trailer starts off with a narration from Amitabh Bachchan, declaring "PadMan" as India's answer to American superheroes. "Lekin India ke paas Padman hai" - the much-awaited trailer of Twinkle Khanna's maiden production, Padman, tells the story of real-life superhero Arunachalam Muruganantham, the brainchild behind the world's first low-priced machine for making sanitary napkins. We soon meet Akshay Kumar's character Lakshmikanth, whose initiative to manufacture cost-effective sanitary napkins results in him delivering a speech on menstrual hygiene at the UN Headquarters.

In the trailer, Akshay emerges as the Indian superhero, "PadMan", the man who made sanitary napkins affordable for women, giving other superheroes like Superman and Batman a run for their money. It is Sonam Kapoor who comes as an angel in disguise and helps him in his journey to the finish. The much celebrated story of Muruganantham was already known to everyone, but what kept people talking was its execution on screen by Akshay Kumar and team. Sonam also tweeted the trailer and wrote, "Great things come of out passion and PAD MAN is a great example of this".
