The United States Geological Service initially reported that a 5.1 magnitude natural disaster struck Dover, Delaware on Thursday at 4:48 p.m.

Two earthquakes hit eastern Iran in quick succession early Friday, the first a fairly strong magnitude 6.0 tremor that struck at a shallow depth close to the populous city of Kerman, the US Geological Survey said.

"I was talking with the other seismologists and we said, 'Wow, we don't ever remember a quake in DE", he said.

Carberry said there were no signs of damage at the base, and no change in operations was expected.
