Samsung S9 & S9 Plus - May arrive January 2018

But these early reports seem to specify that Samsung is having a harder time "imitating" the iPhone than prior, and some of the things you see on a brand new iPhone won't be available nearly soon on the next Galaxy S model.

It will run Android Oreo and it will have an 18:9 aspect ratio Infinity Display, like the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Another revision that the S9 series will flaunt is the repositioning of the fingerprint scanner. For example, the biometric authentication is now less likely to fail when using Samsung Pass, a feature that enables secure access to the phone and other services using the handset's iris scanner, fingerprint sensor, or facial recognition.

Samsung's latest premium smartphones are codenamed Star 1 and Star 2 and may debut in January of 2018. And surprisingly the speaker grill comes in the vicinity of the power button.

A new leak has surfaced which shows the renders of the upcoming Galaxy A5 (2018). It's very possible that this might not even be the final design of the phone. From the leaked images, it appears that Samsung seems to have fixed that issue. The Galaxy S9 is expected to arrive with a 5.8-inch super AMOLED display while the S9+ will feature a much larger 6.2-inch curved-edge display. Samsung has also yet to respond to comment on the surprising support page.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, iterative upgrades, will make a cameo at CES
Samsung's foldable phone; what we know so far

Samsung Galaxy S9 has some leaked information on two different processors: Exynos 9810 for the India market and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor for the USA version. Some markets are speculated to receive Snapdragon 660 chipset version of both phones.

Not a single smartphone manufacturer is dominant in United Kingdom market, unlike the U.S. where Samsung and Apple hold more than 80% sales from the overall market's landscape.

Samsung is slated to reveal more details about the anticipated devices at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

These design improvements have also been confirmed via 3D renditions of the Galaxy S9 made by the smartphone accessory maker called Ghostek.
