France Book Russia Spot With Belarus Win

Euro 2016 finalists France clinched their place in Russian Federation with a nervy 2-1 win over Belarus in Paris on Tuesday, leaving them four points clear at the top of Group A.

The team France is in the first place with 20 points and the team Belarus is in the fifth place with five points in the standing table of Group A UEFA World Cup Qualifying.

"Tonight we did not do everything well, there may have been a little tension too and this Belarusian team did not let go". "It was a hard match with lots of mistakes, commitment", said Deschamps, who became France's most successful coach with a 42nd victory from 68 matches since taking over the reins in 2012.

N'Golo Kanté is absent through injury while Olivier Giroud, Thomas Lemar and Kingsley Coman are set for recalls.

He said he fully recognised that France had made life hard for themselves during their qualifying campaign, with baffling results like a goalless home draw against Luxembourg.

IEA Boosts Renewable Energy Forecast, but Trump Tax Plan Might Hurt Industry
Looking ahead, IEA said China, India and the USA would account for two-thirds of worldwide renewable expansion by 2022. Though coal will still be the largest source of electricity generation in 2022, renewables cut that gap in half.

Deschamps said: "The best way to win games is to play with style and control, but it's not always possible". Of the 11 that started in Sofia, apart from Hugo Lloris, Raphaël Varane, Antoine Griezmann and Blaise Matuidi, the other players had fewer than 10 caps. "We haven't been good to watch in qualifying, but I prefer to play badly and win".

"You don't get worldwide experience just like that".

The Dutch needed a victory in Barysaw to keep alive any hopes of a top-two finish, but despite a third goal in two games from Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Davy Propper, Belarus equalised through Maksim Volodjko. The venue of the match is at Stade de France, Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis.

"We know we can improve things but, in terms of results, we got it done".
