Ex-Bigg Boss Contestant Mandana Karimi Files Domestic Violence Case

Mandana Karimi, who was a part of controversial show 'Bigg Boss 9', hosted by Salman Khan, has filed a divorce petition and a case of domestic violence against her husband Gaurav Gupta at Andheri magistrate court on Monday. She alleges that she has been "tricked out of the matrimonial house" by her husband Gaurav Gupta and her in-laws in less than six months into the marriage.

The model-turned-actress has, according to the report, asked for maintenance to the extent of ₹10 lakh per month for her basic needs, along with a compensation of ₹2 crore for the trauma and agony caused, and loss of career and business.

This time the Iranian beauty has filed a domestic violence case against her husband. Mandana has alleged that she was asked to quit pursuing her acting career.

Before she settled for marital bliss, Mandana had featured in Ekta Kapoor's sex comedy, Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 in a lead role, as also in films like Roy, Bhaag Johnny and Main Aur Charles.

The situation became ugly when Mandana was barred from entering her own house. Karimi also said that she was forcefully converted to Hinduism before marriage. Mandana added, "Gaurav has cut me off".

The actress further revealed that she has made several attempts to reconcile with her in-laws but all went in vain. I have no clothes, no money and I am staying in an apartment.

Mandana's lawyer Madhukar Dalvi has reported that the matter is in court and they will take it forward as per law.
