India's move made China Hostile: SIKKIM

It said boundary talks are ongoing between Bhutan and China and "we have written agreements of 1988 and 1998 stating that the two sides agree to maintain peace and tranquillity in their border areas pending a final settlement on the boundary question, and to maintain status quo on the boundary as before March 1959". In another phenomenal move, the Chinese outside service representative, Lu Kang, on Thursday showed a highly contrasting duplicate of a photo which he said demonstrated the "trespass of the Indian fringe troops at the Sikkim segment".

According to a Hindustan Times report, the picture released by Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ku Lang showing India troopers" "incursion' in China, is basically a territory claimed by both India and Bhutan.

What happened in Astana was not in consonance with the June 16 Chinese action at Doklam where its troops have come with earthmovers and heavy machines to begin construction of a motorable road that would lead to the Chicken Neck connecting the North East with the rest of India.

Doklam is one of four disputed areas between Bhutan and China in the western region of Haa and Paro dzongkhags.

It's only fair to share.

"The Chinese side has repeatedly lodged solemn representations with the Indian side both in Beijing and Delhi since the trespass took place", Lu said.

The China-Indian boundary in Sikkim has been delineated by historical treaties, and the Indian government has repeatedly confirmed in writing since their country gained independence, acknowledging they had no objection to the China-Indian boundary line at the Sikkim section, Ren said.

Burling, Team New Zealand win Race 7 in America's Cup
Spithill said there was a quick crew meeting after Race 8 and he was pleased that the sailors kept their composure. Ahead by about five boat lengths across the line, they were 12 seconds up at the first mark - game over.

India must desist from being a hurdle to regional development, or it will risk losing key relationships with both Russian Federation and China in the long run, considering they are on the same page with regards to regional development.

The Ministry also narrated the sequence of events since June 16 when a PLA construction party entered the Doklam area and attempted to construct a road.

"It is imperative that the Indian troops pull back to the Indian side of the boundary".

It further added that "The two Governments had in 2012 reached agreement that the tri-junction boundary points between India, China and third countries will be finalised in consultation with the concerned countries".

China's aggressive expansionism is now targeting tiny Bhutan. The showdown is, however, part of a wider friction between India and China over the 4,057 kilometer (2,520 mile) border.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Nathu La has been stopped by China.

India has asked China to maintain restraint and status quo. China is trying to alter the present status-quo. The Prime Minister has been briefed in detail about the situation. "India Wants to solve border issues through dialogue".
