Right-wing radio host Alex Jones responds to Chobani lawsuit

Ulukaya was blindsided in June 2016, when right-wing media sites attacked him for hiring resettled refugees (and not USA citizens) to work in his Chobani plant in Twin Falls.

The complaint against Alex Jones reads as follows.

"The defendants defamatory statements were created to cause — and did in fact cause — customers to call for a boycott of Chobani's products", the lawsuit stated.

Chobani's attorneys say Jones has not responded to requests to remove the inaccurate coverage. In addition, Chobani said InfoWars' violated the Idaho Consumer Protection Act by knowingly misrepresenting facts.

Chobani, best known for producing the popular Greek yogurt, has filed a lawsuit against Alex Jones.

"Infowars" host Alex Jones arrives at the Travis County Courthouse in Austin last Monday.

Jinder Mahal No.1 contender for WWE Championship
Charlotte tries to get the jump on Naomi before their match later, but Naomi stands tall while Charlotte heads to the back. Jinder, who was allegedly helped by the Bollywood Boyz in the ring, was however booed by the audience after his victory.

Jones later took to Twitter to ask that the media respect his privacy in the case - a request that was widely ridiculed coming from the man who claimed the massacre of 20 children was fake. Jones also claimed that billionaire George Soros is behind the lawsuit. Soros, who Jones called a "Nazi collaborator", is not named in the lawsuit.

Chobani - which is the largest yogurt brand in the US - also said the assault was in no way linked to its workforce. "I'm not backing down, I'm never giving up, I love this", said Jones, "They have jumped the trillion-pound great white shark on this baby".

Among the false statements Chobani's lawsuit alleges are "accusations that Chobani was "caught importing migrant rapists" and that Chobani's plant has brought "crime and tuberculosis" to the Twin Falls community". There are roughly 300 refugees employed by Chobani between the two plants.

Barigar said in an earlier interview with Courthouse News Service that "refugee resettlement has helped Twin Falls and its residents share a welcoming environment and humanitarian support to those in need for these many decades".

Over the weekend, Alex Jones posted a video on his Infowars website in which he claimed that, by his own "conservative" estimate, he already "had over 150 women" by the time he turned 16. The Idaho Statesman reports that the far-right-wing personality also made waves by claiming that 9/11 was an inside job rather than a terrorist event.

Jones gained notoriety after claiming that the USA government planned the 9/11 attacks and faked the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in CT, where 26 students and educators died in 2012.
